A 56-year-old man has been charged with the murder of a Leanne Williams, 52, in the Townhill area of Swansea. The incident occurred on Sunday, March 2, 2025, at a property on Graiglwyd Road. Emergency services responded to reports of an incident at the residence, where they discovered the woman’s body. Despite efforts to save her, she was pronounced dead at the scene.
The man, identified as Brian Whitelock, was arrested at the scene and has been formally charged with murder. He appeared at Swansea Magistrates’ Court on March 3, 2025, and was remanded in custody. Whitelock is scheduled to appear before Swansea Crown Court on March 5, 2025.
South Wales Police have stated that they are not seeking anyone else in connection with the incident. Detective Chief Inspector Mark Lewis, leading the investigation, said: “Our thoughts are with the family and friends of the victim during this difficult time. We continue to appeal for any witnesses or anyone with information to come forward.”
The victim’s family has been informed and is being supported by specialist officers. The local community remains in shock, and expressions of sympathy for the victim’s family have been widespread.
